Earth-friendly, people-friendly designs

The thread that connects all of our designs, whether they are residential landscapes or children’s spaces, is sustainability. Sustainable landscapes are beautiful and comfortable for people while also protecting resources: wildlife, trees, soil, energy and our Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Our tools include an extensive palette of mostly native plants, recycled and locally sourced materials, ancient building techniques like cob and straw bale construction, and cutting edge technologies like green roof assemblies and pervious pavers. Services for residential clients include design and construction of outdoor rooms, garden walls, water features, raingardens, bird and butterfly gardens, edible landscapes and more!
